I gave up on Blue Shoe.. I got half way through and I just didn't care what happened to the characters. And plus, the library had gotten in the book I REALLY wanted. I love all of Sharon Kay Penman's books. She writes great historical fiction. Devil's Brood is about the second half of Henry and Queen Eleanor life. So far I love it.

Oh I miss those cookie cakes your parents would always bring up for your Bday. You're dad must of had a few of those adult beverages. I don't remember him being quite so....not serious! Then again- maybe that's what grandkids do!
