Daddy's light...

Liam has discovered Pol's light... and he loves this light. The thing weighs half of what Liam weighs, but he insists on carrying it everywhere he goes. We thought you might like to see him looking like he just woke up from a drunken stupor...

Tubes

Liam got tubes in his ears today. Everything went well and relatively quick! Pol and I just thought Liam was a bit on the slow side with walking and talking, but the dr said it probably has more to do with the fact that he hasn't been able to hear us and his equilibrium is all thrown off. OR, he really is just like Pol and moves at his own laid back pace. Either way, I am excited for the tubes!

The Heat Is On

We have heat again! And don't think I won't be testing that new heater out tonight! Liam will be sweating in his bed just because we can.

Heat update

Still no heat... but we have good friends, so we are staying warm!

Hope to have a new heater and water heater tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Highlights

Highlights of the last 4 days:

• Drove to SC - it was great, we actually arrived before 2am. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is not to be half asleep for the last hour of the drive. I think from here on out we will leave earlier, it's just worth it.

Thanksgiving Day:

• Turkey, Ham, sweet potatoes, grandma's twisty rolls, green bean casserole, pumpkin roll, chocolate chip pie, gravy and other stuff that I have no idea what it was. For the record... I did a LOT of the cooking and cleaning up afterward!
• Anna discovering the antique doll house Dawn and I used to play with. Anna " 'Chelle, want to play with the house? 'chelle, want to play with the house now? 'chelle, Liam doesn't want to play with the house."

Black Friday:

• Leaving the house at 5:30am on Friday to stand in store lines with Anthony. Then watching Anthony get angry at a store for not knowing what they are doing and talking to the manager... haha.. go Anthony!
• Hunting for a toddler chair

Weekend:

• Decorating mom and dad's house for Christmas.
• Last minute shopping on Sunday with my mom

Trip Home:

• The 6 hour drive that took 8 1/2 hrs to get back home.
• Liam crying for the last hour of the drive.
• Walking into our house last night at 9:30 and saying "It smells in here." Pol walking into the house and saying "It smells like gas in here"
• Calling the gas company and them tell us to get out of the house right away.
• Hanging with our young neighbors and being entertained they were eating dinner at 9:45 and me remembering the days before Liam and how we used to eat that late.
• Gas company tells us we had Carbon Monoxide filling our house because we plugged up our chimney.. NOTE: DO NOT EVER PLUG UP YOUR CHIMNEY!
• Gas company turning off our gas (heat and hot water) because we now have to get something flushed before they will turn it back on!
• Loading the dogs and baby back into the car and staying the night with good friends who generously offered us a place a to crash!

Manic Monday

• Coming home to a freezing house this morning. It is snowing here... well flurries. The high today is supposed to be 38. Seriously... the heater has to be turned off on the coldest day so far.
• Pol calls the heating places... one can come on Friday, one can come next Thursday. ugh. Finally he finds someone to come today.
• Pol is still waiting at home in the cold for them to show up.
• I am sitting in my nice, warm office typing this.

Whew... what a weekend.
